Go anywhere.
Move there.
Your location doesn't just jump: it travels there, on foot or by car, along real roads. Steer it live from any app.
Rootless jailbreaks, iOS 15 and later.
Real movement, not a teleport.
Apps can tell a location that jumps from one that travels. Waypoint travels, the way a phone in a pocket or on a dashboard does.
Any route
Apple Maps directions on foot or by car, a route you draw that follows the roads, or a GPX or KML file. Saved routes are one tap away.
Real speeds
Walk, run, cycle or drive: it speeds up, slows for corners, brakes for the end and, when driving, stops at junctions like traffic does.
Live control
Change speed while moving, pause, resume, or take the joystick and steer in any direction. Hold Here freezes it exactly where it is.
Record and replay
Record a real trip and play it back later at the pace you went, stops and all. Heights come along too, from recordings and GPX files.
Geofence tester
Pick a place and a radius: Waypoint crosses the circle back and forth, waiting inside and outside, for apps that watch regions.
Signal loss
Drive into a tunnel on demand: apps get no location for 30 seconds to 2 minutes, then pick up from further along.
A believable signal
A position that wanders slightly, like a real GPS signal: Perfect, Open Sky, City or Indoors.
Over every app
A floating control in any app and on the Lock Screen, a Control Center button, and Home Screen quick actions.
Automation
waypoint:// links to go somewhere, jump, play a saved route, pause or stop, from Shortcuts or any app. Links that move you ask first.
Keep moving. Keep going.
Start a route and get on with what you're testing: Waypoint's control floats over every app and sits on the Lock Screen, live, for pausing, a change of speed or a Stop.
- Over every app, and over the Lock Screen below the clock
- Pause, resume, faster, slower, a joystick, Stop
- A Control Center button, lit while you're simulated
- Stops by itself after a set time, if you like
- Back to your real location with one tap
Pick a place. Go.
Search, long-press the map, draw, or open a file. Choose how you move, and press Go.
Pick where
Search for a place or long-press the map: route there, go in a straight line, jump straight there, or test a geofence. Favourites and recent places are one tap away.
Choose how
Walk, run, cycle or drive, at the speed you set. Once, round in a loop, or back and forth. Draw your own route with stops on the way.
Go, and steer
Every app on the phone follows. Change speed, pause, or steer with the joystick from the app or the floating control. Stop, and you're back.
Built on iOS's own location simulation. Every app sees it, and Waypoint doesn't hide from apps that it's simulated. It's made for testing, demos, privacy and planning a trip.
Questions, answered.
What does Waypoint need?
A jailbroken iPhone on a rootless jailbreak, such as Dopamine or palera1n, on iOS 15 or later. Nothing else to install. For the Control Center button, CCSupport from your package manager.
Do all apps see the location?
Yes. Waypoint uses iOS's own location simulation, so every app gets the same position, open or in the background.
How do I get my real location back?
Press Stop, in the app, on the floating control, in Control Center, or from Waypoint's Home Screen icon. Your real location comes back right away. If an app still shows the old place, Waypoint's Stuck? button explains and takes you to Location Services, where turning it off and on brings it back.
Can I keep using other apps while it moves?
Yes, that's the point. The route keeps going even with the app closed. The floating control over every app and on the Lock Screen lets you pause, change speed, steer or stop.
Can I use my own routes?
Import GPX or KML files, draw a route on the map (it can follow the roads), or record a real trip and replay it at the pace you went. Routes can be saved, and shared as GPX.
Is my data sent anywhere?
Routes, favourites and recent places stay on your phone. Searches and directions go to Apple Maps, as they do in the Maps app.
